Job summary

Sena Diecasting Industries in Malaysia seeks a QA-focused professional to create and enforce quality control procedures across manufacturing. You will oversee inspections, document defects, and drive cross-functional improvements with engineering, production, and supply chain.

Role requires data-driven analysis of product quality, compliance with standards, and collaboration with suppliers to ensure material quality. Travel within Malaysia for audits and rework is possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in quality control or 3 years in manufacturing.
• Able to read technical drawings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications.
• Degree or Diploma in Engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Create and update instructions or procedures to ensure product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
• Verify regular inspections and tests on parts and finished goods to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
• Monitor and oversee production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement by routine audits.
• Document and report defects or quality issues, and work with production to resolve them.
• Collect and analyze data on product quality to identify trends and circulate information to all departments.
• Develop corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and supply chain to meet quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Participate in supplier audits and monitor suppliers for material quality.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Arrange daily tasks for subordinates.
• Ensure records housekeeping, storage, retrieval, and retention.
• Identify non-conforming products and segregate per procedure.
• Monitor movement of rework, sorting and material disposition.
• Develop new supplier/subcontractor relationships to meet quality standards and reduce costs.
• Conduct supplier/subcontractor process audits when quality issues arise (ICAR & SCAR).
• Coordinate internal quality meetings on customer complaints and follow up on CCAR.
• Assist QA Manager in operations concerning quality control.
• Willingness to travel to customer/supplier/subcontractor premises within Malaysia or overseas for rework/sorting and audits.
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor.

To monitor movement activity of rework, sorting and material disposition.

Develop new supplier/subcontractor to achieve the quality standard and reduce manufacturing cost.

Conduct process audit on supplier/subcontractor when quality problems arises ICAR & SCAR.

To coordinate internal quality meeting on customer complaints and follow up on CCAR.

Assist QA Manager/Asst. QA Manager in all the operation concerning quality control.

Requires to travel to customer/supplier/subcontractor's premises within Malaysia or oversea to perform/co-ordinate rework/sorting activities and to perform audit or attending meeting on behalf of SDISB.

To perform any other jobs or duties as and when required by superior.

MINIMUM SKILLS:

a. Minimum 2 year of working experience in quality or 3 years working experience in manufacturing

b. Able to read technical drawing.

c. Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office Applications.

d. Degree / Diploma in any Engineering field.
