Job summary

QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd in Malaysia leads procurement for KFC, Pizza Hut, QSR Manufacturing and related regions. The role develops strategies, sources direct materials, and expands supplier bases to meet brand requirements while ensuring halal and food safety compliance.

Collaborating with QA, Operations and Marketing, you will manage tenders, RFQs and supplier negotiations, drive cost improvements, and deliver monthly procurement reports to the Head of Procurement/Head of Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years in strategic or operational procurement.
• Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms.
• Vendor management and supplier coordination experience.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
• Experience implementing SOPs and driving procurement improvements.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure direct materials for KFC, Pizza Hut, and brands.

• Produce monthly procurement KPIs and supplier performance reports.

Job description

Responsible for sourcing and procuring direct materials for KFC, Pizza Hut, QSR Manufacturing and Region Food Industries in accordance with company policies and procedures. Ensures cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely supply to support business operations.

Develop and implement procurement strategies.

Source and secure direct materials to meet brand requirements, while expanding the supplier base through new and alternative sources.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as QA, Operations, and Marketing to ensure alignment of product and supply needs.

Engage with suppliers on product specifications, quotations, negotiations, and relevant documentation.

Handle tenders, RFQs, RFPs, and quotation processes.

Ensure all raw materials comply with Halal and Food Safety requirements.

Coordinate with the Legal department on agreement vetting, execution, and compliance.

Drive cost-saving and cost-avoidance initiatives through strategic sourcing.

Implement alternate sourcing strategies to mitigate supply risks.

Improve procurement processes, ensure policy compliance and risk management.

Develop and deliver comprehensive monthly reports such as procurement KPIs, category spend, savings initiatives, supplier performance, and strategic sourcing progress to the Head of Procurement/Head of Supply Chain.

Job Requirement:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.

Working experience in strategic or operational procurement of 7 – 10 years.

Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering collaboration, mutual respect, and a positive team dynamic across internal teams and external suppliers.

Excellent negotiation skills with a proven ability to drive value and secure favorable terms.

Positive attitude with strategic thinking to support long-term procurement goals.

Diplomatic and solution-oriented, capable of implementing SOPs, improving procurement processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Proven experience in vendor management, supply chain coordination, and procurement operations.

Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.

Experience in inter-departmental collaboration (e.g., Finance, Logistics).

Skilled in market research, team leadership, and the use of supply chain software and Microsoft Office tools.
