Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast is seeking a Purchasing Manager to orchestrate procurement excellence, optimize costs, and ensure departments have what they need to perform at their best. This on-site role focuses on supplier relationships, cost control, and maintaining quality across all hotel departments.

You will oversee sourcing, negotiation, and inventory control, while aligning with operational goals. A strategic partner to operations, you’ll drive efficiency and transparency in procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/ Diploma in Supply Chain, Hospitality or related field.
• Proven negotiation and vendor-management skills.
• Strong analytical and cost-control capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and purchasing processes.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchasing Manager at Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast. As a strategic business partner, you will oversee all procurement and purchasing functions, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and alignment with operational goals.

You will play a critical role in managing supplier relationships, controlling costs, and maintaining quality standards across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all purchasing activities, including sourcing, procurement, and inventory control

Industry Experience

• Minimum 8–10 years in procurement or purchasing, preferably in hospitality
• At least 3–5 years in a managerial role
• Experience in hotel or resort environments preferred
• Strong knowledge of procurement SOPs, compliance, and audit requirements
• Exposure to F&B, rooms, and operational procurement categories
