Job summary

Hexamatics Servvcom Sdn Bhd is seeking a Purchasing Intern to support the Purchasing team with daily operations, including PO tracking, supplier coordination, SAP data updates, reporting, and parts specification checks.

Ideal candidates are Diploma/Degree students in Supply Chain or related fields, proficient in Excel, with basic SAP/Ariba knowledge and strong attention to detail. The role involves collaboration with internal teams and suppliers in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a diploma/degree in a related field (supply chain, purchasing, business).
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office applications.
• Basic knowledge of SAP and/or Ariba is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Able to communicate clearly with internal teams and suppliers.
• Responsible, eager to learn, and able to handle routine tasks consistently.

Responsibilities

• Download the open purchase order report from SAP and Ariba daily.
• Check pipe sets for machines, prepare Excel listings, and send to suppliers.
• Support updating purchasing and material data in SAP accurately and on time.
• Prepare routine purchasing reports and summaries as required.
• Check parts specifications and confirm Kanban part specs.
• Attend purchasing-related meetings and provide meeting memos.
• Check material shortage status and report to PIC.
• Assist with ad hoc tasks arranged by the manager.

Job description

The Purchasing Intern will support the Purchasing team in daily operational and administrative activities, including purchase order tracking, supplier coordination, SAP data updating, reporting, and parts specification checking. This role provides hands-on exposure to purchasing processes in a manufacturing environment and requires strong attention to detail, good Excel skills, and the ability to work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Download the open purchase order report from both SAP and Ariba as the first task each working day
• Check pipe sets for every machine, prepare the Excel listing, and send the information to suppliers
• Support purchasers in updating purchasing and material information in SAP accurately and on time
• Prepare routine purchasing reports and summaries as required by the team or management
• Check parts specifications and support in confirming specifications for KANBAN parts
• Participate in all purchasing related meetings and provide meeting memo
• Check material shortage status and give feedback to PIC
• Assist with other tasks or ad hoc assignments arranged by the manager

About you

• Diploma or Degree student in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Basic knowledge of SAP and/or Ariba is an advantage
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
• Able to communicate clearly with internal teams and suppliers
• Responsible, willing to learn, and able to handle routine tasks consistently
