Job summary

Plexus in Penang is seeking a self-sufficient procurement professional to manage execution of assigned goods and services, ensuring quality, delivery, and pricing per SOPs and WI's. You will handle POs, rescheduling, and supplier communication to meet production needs.

You will minimize inventory while sustaining material availability, drive automation and data integrity in procurement systems, and collaborate across business groups to optimize purchasing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Procure materials per Plexus guidelines and contracts, ensuring AVL, price, quality and delivery.
• Place, reschedule, and cancel purchase orders; resolve discrepancies and invoice queries.
• Minimize inventory while meeting production plans; escalate to avoid delays.
• Support procurement automation processes and maintain data integrity in systems.

Job description

Purpose Statement:

Individuals are expected to be self sufficient in managing the procurement execution of assigned goods, commodities and/or services in accordance with the quality, delivery and pricing as detailed in Purchasing SOP's and WI's.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Responsible for purchasing of materials in accordance with the guidelines set forth by Plexus management and the customer's contract in terms of AVL adherence, unit price, quality and delivery.
• Makes tactical buying decisions with respect to the placement and management of all purchase orders.
  This process encompasses order placement, rescheduling and cancellations, as well as timely resolution of non conforming material, goods in discrepancies and invoice queries.
• Minimize inventory while maintaining adequate material to meet production plans.
  Initiate appropriate corrective actions and escalation to avoid impacting the production schedule.
• Collaboratively manage established procurement automation processes which includes optimizing, troubleshooting, and ensuring data integrity within our automation systems to support efficient and accurate purchasing.
  Includes tactical decision-making of when to leverage automation vs request exceptions in overall execution.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

Physical Requirements:

• Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved, emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.

Travel Requirements:

• Less than 40%
