Job summary

FEPA in Johor, Malaysia, is seeking a Purchaser to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on daily purchasing activities, supplier sourcing, PO issuance, negotiation, and coordination with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Quality, and Finance.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in Purchasing or related field, with 1–3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting. Strong Excel skills and ERP purchasing system experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 1–3 years of purchasing experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong communication, negotiation and supplier coordination.
• Proficient in Excel; ERP/purchasing system experience is a plus.
• Fresh graduates with interest in Purchasing encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily purchasing activities including quotation, sourcing, PO issuance.
• Source and compare suppliers on price, quality, and delivery lead time.
• Negotiate with suppliers for favorable terms.
• Monitor POs and ensure timely delivery to support production.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Quality, and Finance.
• Maintain purchasing records and update ERP system.
• Support cost-saving and purchasing improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily purchasing activities, including quotation, sourcing, PO issuance, and supplier follow-up.

• Source and compare suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery lead time.

• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and favorable terms.

• Monitor purchase orders and ensure materials are delivered on time to support production.

• Coordinate closely with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Quality, and Finance.

• Follow up on urgent orders, delivery delays, and material shortages.

• Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers.

• Maintain accurate purchasing records and update the ERP system.

• Support cost-saving and purchasing improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field.

• 1–3 years of purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Good communication, negotiation, and supplier coordination skills.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• ERP/purchasing system experience is an advantage.

• Proactive, responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

• Fresh graduates with a strong interest in Purchasing and Supply Chain are also encouraged to apply.
