Job summary

congatec GmbH is seeking a procurement professional in Malaysia's Penang region. You will manage daily purchasing activities, process orders, and interact with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and accurate quantities.

The role requires hands-on SAP knowledge, strong English communication, and a structured, service-oriented work style with teamwork. Mandarin is a plus as we collaborate across locations.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in purchasing.
• Good SAP knowledge.
• Very good English language skills (written and spoken). Mandarin language skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Daily processing of order proposals and placement of purchase orders for defined Commodity.
• Check order confirmations, monitor delivery dates and reconcile quantities, including interface management.
• Maintain and optimize supplier relationships.

Tasks

• Daily processing of order proposals and placement of purchase orders for defined Commodity
• Checking order confirmations, monitoring delivery dates and reconciling quantities, including interface management
• Maintaining and optimizing supplier relationships
• Managing complaints and monitoring delivery reliability and quality
• Participation of Supplier Evaluation, determining KPIs – On Time Delivery (OTD)
• Maintenance of material master data for Dispo-Relevant parameters
• Handling of Tickets for department relevant tasks
• Prioritization of Incoming IQC handling for Mechanic
• Collaboration with international locations

Profile

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in purchasing
• good SAP knowledge
• very good English language skills (written and spoken), Mandarin language skills are an advantage
• Independent and structured work style, service-oriented approach, flexibility and teamwork skills
• Good knowledge of common MS Office applications
