Job summary

Leoch Battery (M) Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage end-to-end purchasing for battery components and machinery spare parts, source suppliers, and negotiate terms to ensure quality, value, and timely delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in a related field, at least 2 years in purchasing, ERP and MS Office proficiency, Mandarin fluency for Chinese suppliers, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with strong coordination with QA

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in manufacturing.
• Fluent in Mandarin is essential for communication with Chinese suppliers.
• Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with ERP and MS Office suites.
• Detail-oriented with good problem-solving abilities.
• Own transport and willingness to work at the Shah Alam factory.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end purchase activities for battery components, machinery spare parts and office supplies.
• Source and select suppliers to ensure quality, cost and timely delivery.
• Communicate effectively with local and international suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts to secure the best deals.
• Ensure continuous supply of raw materials to meet production demands.
• Collaborate with internal departments to align procurement with needs and budgets.
• Work closely with QA to ensure materials meet standards.
• Maintain records of procurement activities and provide supplier performance reports.
