Job summary

Automotive Industries Sdn. Bhd. (Toyota Malaysia subsidiary) is seeking an Executive, Purchasing to join our procurement team.

The role entails managing daily purchasing activities, sourcing materials timely, and supporting cost-saving initiatives to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate holds a minimum degree in Supply Chain Management or related field and has at least 1 year of purchasing experience in manufacturing. Strong vendor coordination and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• Vendor coordination and follow-up, cost comparison and quotation analysis, time management and multitasking, attention to detail and accuracy.
• Minimum 1 year purchasing or procurement experience in manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders.
• Source and evaluate suppliers for pricing, quality, and delivery performance.
• Obtain and analyze quotations and recommend cost-effective options.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials and services.
• Monitor open purchase orders and update stakeholders on delivery status.
• Resolve supplier issues related to delivery, quality, and documentation.
• Support price negotiations and cost-saving initiatives.
• Assist in supplier performance tracking and evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and approval matrix.
• Main PIC for China-related Suppliers (coordination with ENG, QA, QC department).
