In this full-time role, you will source suppliers, negotiate terms, process POs, and collaborate with internal teams to meet production needs. Mandarin proficiency is mandatory for technical documentation and daily communications.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in purchasing or procurement, ideally in manufacturing, transport or logistics.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Proficient in data analysis and problem-solving to address supply chain issues.
• Excellent organisational and time management to handle multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems.
• Team player with a proactive, customer-focused mindset.

As a Purchasing Executive at FERROTEC POWER SEMICONDUCTOR MALAYSIA SDN. BHD., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient procurement of materials and services to support the company's manufacturing operations in Pasir Gudang, Johor. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the strategic objectives of a leading player in the manufacturing, transport and logistics industry.

What you'll be doing

• Researching and identifying reliable suppliers to meet the company's material and service requirements
• Negotiating favourable terms and conditions with suppliers to optimise costs and ensure timely deliveries
• Processing purchase orders and monitoring the status of procurement activities
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to all purchasing transactions
• Collaborating with other departments to understand their needs and ensure timely fulfilment
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in the procurement function

What we're looking for

• At least 2-3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing, transport or logistics industry
• Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• Proficient in data analysis and problem-solving to identify and resolve supply chain issues
• Excellent organisational and time management skills to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Familiarity with procurement software and systems, such as ERP or procurement management tools
• A team player with a proactive and customer-focused mindset

Proficiency in Mandarin is mandatory as all technical documentation, operating procedures, equipment specifications, and daily project communications are conducted primarily in Mandarin.
