Job summary

Classic Advantage Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage end-to-end procurement activities, coordinate material flow with planning and production, and negotiate terms with suppliers.

The role focuses on achieving cost efficiency while ensuring quality and on-time delivery for medical device and plastic injection moulding products. Based in Kulai, Malaysia, the position involves adherence to DOA procedures, supplier audits support, and cross-department collaboration to maintain

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement and supplier management.
• Ability to source materials and negotiate terms.
• Familiarity with DOA/policies and DOA procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process purchase orders based on requisitions.
• Source materials and services per company requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations for price, quality and delivery.
• Identify and develop suitable suppliers per requirements.
• Maintain supplier relationships for reliable supply and timely delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance: price, quality, delivery, service.
• Coordinate with planning, production, warehouse, quality and other departments.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial conditions.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documents.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and QMS requirements.

Job description

This role encompasses purchasing activities, supplier management, material and delivery coordination, cost control and negotiation, documentation and record management, and compliance and continuous improvement within the procurement function.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) based on approved purchase requisitions and material requirements
• Source materials, components, spare parts, equipment, and services according to company requirements
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery terms
• Identify, evaluate, and develop suitable suppliers in accordance with company requirements
• Maintain good working relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply and timely delivery
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of price, quality, delivery, and service
• Coordinate with Planning, Production, Warehouse, Quality, and other relevant departments to ensure materials are available according to production schedules
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions with suppliers
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, quotations, supplier information, and delivery documents
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, quality management system requirements, and applicable customer requirements

About you

• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with the company's procurement procedures and Delegation of Authority (DOA)
• Monitor purchase order status and expedite urgent materials when necessary
• Analyse quotations and purchasing costs to identify cost‑saving opportunities
• Support supplier audits, supplier performance reviews, and corrective actions when required
