Job summary

BERJAYA PROPERTY BERHAD (Formerly known as Berjaya Land Berhad) seeks a Purchasing Executive to drive procurement activities for hotel-related supply needs. You will source vendors, negotiate on value, and prepare purchase orders while expediting orders to meet local and overseas delivery timelines.

You’ll liaise with multiple teams to ensure on-time deliveries and accurate information flow, while evaluating suppliers and coordinating transport.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related fields.
• Must be literate in English, Malay, and Chinese for supplier communication.
• At least 2 years' experience in hotel or hospitality procurement.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and manage several projects.

Responsibilities

• Source and negotiate with vendor database to obtain best value for products/materials.
• Prepare purchase orders, expedite orders and ensure timely deliveries.
• Ensure all orders are delivered on time (local and overseas) and communicated to relevant departments.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers and arrange transportation of purchased materials.
• Assist operations with coordination and administrative tasks such as tender costs.

Job description

Source, manage and negotiate with vendor database to receive best value products/materials.

Preparing PO, expedite orders and deliveries.

Ensure all orders are delivered on time (local & overseas), accurately, in good condition and is communicated to the related departments.

Identifies and evaluates suppliers, arranges for transportation of purchased materials.

Assist operations in coordination and administrative (i.e. cost for tender) matters.

Any others ad-hoc tasks assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Construction Management,Logistics, Business Administrationor related fields.

Need to be literate in English, Malay, Chinese (to deal with suppliers from China).

At least 2 years working experience in the hotel or hospitality industry.

Ability to work closely with various teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors).

Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
