Job summary

Berjaya Corporation Berhad in Kuala Lumpur seeks a seasoned corporate finance professional to lead investment analysis, M&A and transaction advisory activities.

You will evaluate strategic opportunities, build financial models in Excel, and work with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment; CFA progress is a plus. Prior Big 4 or investment banking exposure is preferred, with strong analytical and communication skills; energy sector experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics or related disciplines.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, investment analysis, M&A, transaction advisory or a related field.
• Prior experience with a Big 4 firm or in investment banking is preferred.
• A CFA charter, or ongoing progress towards the CFA, would be a slight added advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word; VBA or other Excel add-ins an advantage.
• Strong commercial, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt and apply knowledge to different situations.
• Experience in the power, utilities or broader energy sector an advantage.
• Meticulous, attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
