Job summary

Pelantar Insan (M) Sdn Bhd, established since 1996, is a building contractor specialising in pre-fabricated steel structure work projects. We are seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage end-to-end procurement activities.

The role requires coordinating with suppliers, issuing purchase orders, maintaining records, and collaborating with project managers and engineers to meet project specifications. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in procurement software are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Experience in structural steel or construction industry preferred.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Qualification

Execute the purchasing process, including issuing purchase orders

Coordinate with relevant parties (eg suppliers) for efficient and effective operation processes including deliveries, documentations etc.

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure that materials are procured in accordance with project specifications.

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.

Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier correspondence.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Proven experience (3-5 years) in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the structural steel or construction industry.

Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
