Job summary

Tong Garden Food (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage procurement from local and overseas suppliers. You will review purchase orders, source materials at competitive prices, and ensure supplier quality and reliability.

The role involves evaluating existing and new suppliers, assessing performance, ensuring contract compliance, and driving cost-reduction initiatives. Reporting on purchasing activities and supplier metrics will be part of the job.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• Bahasa Malaysia and English language proficiency required.
• 1–2 years of related experience.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Review, verify, and execute purchase orders to suppliers for materials/items from both local and overseas sources.

Monitor and source materials/items, ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and reliable service from local and international suppliers.

Responsible for the sourcing, selection, and evaluation of both existing and potential new suppliers.

Assess and evaluate supplier performance, conduct regular performance reviews, ensure contract compliance, and implement improvement activities.

Initiate and pursue cost-reduction strategies and initiatives.

Prepare reports on purchasing activities, including cost analysis and supplier performance metrics.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Required languages: Bahasa Malaysia, English (additional languages will be an advantage).

Minimum of 1 - 2 years of working experience in a related field.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
