Job summary

Oriental Fortune Trading Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a procurement professional to source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, ensuring best pricing, quality, and delivery terms. You will prepare POs and drive timely procurement of goods and services.

You will conduct market research, monitor orders, compare quotations, and perform cost analysis to recommend optimal suppliers while maintaining rigorous procurement records.

Qualifications

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (PO) and ensure timely procurement of goods and services.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and pricing trends to support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
• Follow up closely with suppliers on order status, delivery schedules, and resolve any supply issues.
• Compare quotations, conduct cost analysis, and recommend the most suitable suppliers.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier databases, contracts, and procurement documentation.
• Assist in preparing purchasing reports, cost analysis, and procurement-related documentation for management review.
• Continuously identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier performance enhancement.

Job Requirements

Candidates with a Diploma/Bachelor in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management will have an advantage.

Minimum 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience.

Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Previous experience in the food industry is a plus

Candidates who are fluent in Mandarin are preferred because the role requires candidates to interact with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Possess own transport.
