Job summary

Chop Tong Guan Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support daily purchasing activities and supplier coordination. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; training will be provided.

You will prepare POs, liaise with suppliers for quotes, track deliveries, verify invoices, maintain records, and ensure timely stock purchases. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English is expected; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• SPM qualification or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates welcome; no prior experience required.
• Basic computer skills including Excel, Word and email.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily purchasing activities and administrative tasks.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders according to approved requests.
• Source and communicate with suppliers for quotations, pricing and product information.
• Follow up with suppliers on order status, delivery schedules and outstanding orders.
• Compare supplier quotations and prices to ensure competitive purchasing costs.
• Coordinate with internal departments regarding purchasing requirements and delivery arrangements.
• Check supplier invoices, delivery orders and purchase orders for accuracy.
• Maintain and update purchasing records and supplier information and documentation.
• Monitor stock requirements and assist in ensuring materials are purchased on time.
• Perform other purchasing-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
