Job summary

Teik Senn (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to manage Marketing procurement, issue purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery. You will coordinate with Brand Manager and suppliers to source and compare prices, while maintaining supplier data and supporting stock replenishment.

The role requires a Diploma or higher in Marketing or related fields, with 1–2 years of relevant experience, and strong communication and negotiation skills. Fresh graduates may apply for training.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Marketing, Business Studies or related fields.
• 1–2 years in related purchasing/marketing role preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the purchasing process in Marketing and issue POs per Brand Manager's requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and price comparisons.
• Maintain supplier database and manage stock replenishment planning.
• Handle promotion materials sourcing, quotations, and order follow-ups.
• Resolve supplier issues and maintain supplier relationships.
• Ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Job description

Manage the purchasing process in the Marketing Department.

To issue Purchase Order of products according to Brand Manager’s requirement.

Ensure products are procured according to the requirements.

Monitor Purchase Order and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

Manage the purchasing process of Promotion Materials including sourcing, quotation requests, price comparison, purchase orders, and order follow up.

Resolve supplier-related issues, including delayed deliveries, incorrect orders and quality discrepancies.

Identify, evaluate and develop reliable supplier to support the requirement.

Maintain an updated supplier database and procurement records.

Maintain good working relationship with supplier and service provider.

Coordinate with Brand Manager, Sales and Operation department to ensure sufficient stock availability.

Monitor Inventory level and support replenishment planning.

Ad-hoc task as assigned by superior.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Marketing or Business Studies/Administration/Management, Mas Communications, Advertising/Media or equivalent

Preferably 1 to 2 years working experience in related field is required for this position

Good understanding, communication and negotiation skill

Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from concept to execution

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Required skill(s) : Computer Literacy, MS Office including Words, Excel, PowerPoint

Required language(s) : English, Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese
