Job summary

Straits Orthopaedics (Mfg) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of medical devices and related services. You will issue Purchase Orders, monitor supplier deliveries, and ensure PO accuracy per requisitions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in any field.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing, cost negotiation, credit terms and purchasing of products & services.
• Issue Purchase Orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure prompt delivery of goods.
• Ensure PO is prepared according to approved Purchase Requisition requirements.
• Carry out tasks assigned by department head or top management as needed.
• Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.

Job description

Responsible for sourcing ,cost negotiation, credit term and purchasing of products & services;

Issue Purchase Order and follow up with suppliers to ensure prompt delivery of goods;

Ensure that Purchase Order prepared is according to the requirements stated in the approved Purchase Requisition;

To carry out job assigned by department head or top management as and when necessary;

Any other job assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

Candidates must possess at least Diploma / Advance / Higher / Graduate Diploma in any field.

Required skills: Computer literate, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word

Proficient: English and Bahasa Malaysia

Good understanding of the requirements of ISO and FDA requirements will be an added advantage.
