Job summary

Maxis is seeking a Protégé Trainee to help shape employee engagement and employer branding across Malaysia. This role blends internship-style learning with real responsibilities in HR, onboarding, surveys, and branding campaigns.

You will support initiatives to attract top talent, ensure employees feel valued, and help create meaningful experiences within a leading telco environment.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint & Excel).
• Experience with design or video editing tools (Canva, Filmora) is a significant advantage.
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, proactive, and collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and implementing employee engagement initiatives for various work arrangements.
• Support planning and execution of large-scale engagement events and activities.
• Enhance onboarding experience for new hires and ensure smooth integration.
• Assist in deploying surveys and feedback mechanisms to assess engagement strategies.
• Help track engagement metrics with dashboards and insights for future strategies.
• Support marketing campaigns that promote Maxis as an employer of choice.
• Create content for branding initiatives and produce video assets for campaigns.

You will support initiatives that attract top talent and ensure every employee feels connected, valued, and inspired at work. This traineeship is designed to build foundational skills in Human Resources, sitting between an internship and a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

• Employee Experience: Assist in designing and implementing employee engagement initiatives for various work arrangements, including regional, virtual, and in-person settings.
• Support the planning and execution of large-scale engagement events, talks, festive celebrations, and interest-based activities to strengthen belonging across the organization.
• Contribute to enhancing the onboarding experience for new hires, ensuring they feel welcomed and integrated from their first day.
• Assist in deploying employee surveys and other feedback mechanisms to help assess the effectiveness of engagement strategies.
• Support the tracking of engagement metrics by assisting with employee experience dashboards and providing insights to inform future strategies.
• Employer Branding: Support marketing and communication campaigns that promote Maxis as a leading employer of choice.
• Develop engaging content for branding initiatives, which includes conducting research, brainstorming ideas, writing copy, and creating visual assets.
• Create and edit video content to support employer branding campaigns, such as those showcasing our Internship and Graduate Programmes.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of employer branding events, assisting with preparation, promotion, and on-ground coordination.

• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Enjoy engaging with colleagues and stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint & Excel).
