Job summary

Esri Malaysia is seeking a proactive Proposal Consultant to develop GIS and geospatial proposals and tender responses. You will collaborate with business and technical teams to craft clear, client-focused solutions that meet business needs.

Key responsibilities include managing GIS proposals, coordinating with delivery teams to estimate efforts, ensuring compliance and timely submissions, and maintaining content repositories for future opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS/CS/IT/Software Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–7 years working experience in proposal development, bid management, pre-sales, consulting, or business development roles.
• Experience responding to RFPs, RFQs, tenders and procurement processes.
• Strong proposal writing, editing and document management skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal English and Bahasa Malaysia communication; professional proposals and client-facing documentation.

A Proposal Consultant develops proposals and tender responses for GIS and geospatial opportunities. You will work with business and technical teams to create clear, client-focused solutions that meet business needs.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Proposal Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys developing proposals, working with different teams, and turning complex solutions into clear and compelling content. If you have strong communication skills, good attention to detail, and an interest in GIS and technology, we would love to hear from you!

You will be successful if you have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Geographical Information System/Computer Science/Information Technology/Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Working experience of 5-7 years with experience in proposal development, bid management, pre-sales, consulting, or business development roles
• Experience responding to RFPs, RFQs, tenders, and procurement processes.
• Strong proposal writing, editing, and document management skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, with the ability to develop professional proposals, reports, presentations, and client-facing documentation.
• Strong proficiency in business writing, editing, and proofreading in both languages.
• Proficiency in the following areas:
• oMicrosoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
• oGeneral IT/Network knowledge
• oGIS applications knowledge
• Experience in smart city, digital twin, government, transportation, water or utility domain.
