Byte To Bite Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a highly motivated and technically competent Project Manager – Automation Systems to lead the execution of industrial automation projects from project kick-off through commissioning and customer handover.
This role offers excellent exposure to multidisciplinary engineering fields, including mechanical systems, electrical control systems, software integration, pneumatic systems, robotics, and industrial automation technologies. The successful candidate will also gain valuable experience in project planning, supplier coordination, logistics management, customer communication, and team leadership.
Candidates with a background in Mechatronics Engineering are highly preferred due to the cross-functional nature of the role.
Lead and coordinate automation projects from planning, installation, commissioning, testing, and final acceptance.
Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure project milestones are achieved.
Coordinate internal engineering teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers throughout project execution.
Manage project risks, issues, and change requests while maintaining project objectives.
Conduct regular project meetings and provide progress reports to management and customers.
Oversee integration of mechanical, electrical, software, and pneumatic systems.
Coordinate machine installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities at customer sites.
Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
Work closely with engineers and technicians to resolve technical issues during project implementation.
Ensure all systems meet customer requirements and project specifications.
Act as the primary liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Manage supplier performance, delivery schedules, and technical support requirements.
Coordinate procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of project materials and equipment.
Support customer acceptance testing and project handover activities.
Coordinate equipment shipments, site deliveries, and installation schedules.
Plan manpower allocation and site activities to optimize project efficiency.
Monitor project costs and support budget control activities.
Ensure proper documentation and record keeping throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead on-site project execution and supervise installation teams.
Ensure compliance with customer safety requirements and company safety policies.
Coordinate site access, permits, and project logistics requirements.
Support local and overseas project deployments when required.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related disciplines.
Minimum 2 years of experience in project management, automation, machinery, manufacturing, or industrial engineering environments.
Fresh graduates with strong leadership potential and relevant internship/project experience may be considered.
Strong understanding of industrial automation systems, machinery, robotics, or control systems.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Willing to travel locally and overseas for project implementation and customer support activities.
Background in Mechatronics Engineering.
Experience with industrial automation, robotics, ASRS, conveyors, PLC systems, SCADA, machine vision, or factory automation projects.
Experience managing suppliers, subcontractors, and project logistics.
Knowledge of project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or equivalent.
