Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan GMRecruitment Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong EHS leadership to oversee critical facilities projects in Malaysia. You will coordinate with clients, contractors and authorities, ensure compliance with ISO standards, and drive risk controls across project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management or other related engineering disciplines.
• More than 10 years of relevant working experience in project management, particularly within mission-critical facilities.
• Experience in managing construction processes throughout all project stages, mobilisation, construction/installation, testing and commissioning, closeout and handover.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills across departments.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of CSA engineering applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact with clients, contractors, supply chain partners and authorities on land development matters.
• Lead EHS management across projects, ensuring compliance with policies and pre-qualification requirements.
• Assist with site due diligence and land acquisition activities.
• Maintain project documentation from inception to handover to Operations.
• Support Projects, Solutions and Operations teams during sales meetings.
• Collaborate with Finance, Solutions and Operations for day-to-day project delivery.
• Lead the team in identifying occupational hazards and ensure risk controls.
• Maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact and represent the company in dealings with clients, contractors, supply chain partners and relevant authorities, including those involved in land development, power, water, planning and building matters.
• Take overall responsibility for Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) matters across projects, ensuring compliance with EHS pre-qualification requirements, the EHS Project Manual/Program and company EHS policies.
• Assist with site due diligence and land acquisition activities.
• Prepare, maintain and keep all required project documentation up to date, from project inception through to handover to the Operations team.
• Support the Projects, Solutions and Operations teams during sales meetings.
• Work closely with the Finance, Solutions and Operations teams on day-to-day activities to ensure successful project delivery.
• Lead the team in identifying occupational hazards and risks, and ensure effective risk control measures are implemented.
• Maintain the effectiveness of the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety Management Systems.

Requirements

• Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships across various stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and the ability to remain focused on tasks.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Additional relevant certifications will be an advantage.
