FORTIS BINA SDN. BHD is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex civil and building construction projects in Kuala Lumpur.

You will develop plans, schedules, and budgets, mentor a team of project managers and engineers, and drive delivery to the highest quality standards. You will oversee procurement, site execution, safety, QA/QC, and risk management, report to senior management, maintain client relationships, and ensure compliance with codes and regulations while promoting a strong

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 10 years in senior PM role in civil/building construction.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Knowledge of CPM and Agile PM methodologies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with BIM, cost estimating software, and PM software.
• Valid driver’s license; willing to travel.
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Project.
• Able to work Monday to Saturday; travel outstation as required.

Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.

Lead and mentor a team of project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals.

Oversee all project activities, including procurement, construction execution, quality control, safety, day to day operations of the site, understanding site diary reports.

Manage project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential issues.

Supervising, coordinating, monitoring, inspection & reporting daily of work progress on site

Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with all project stakeholders (owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, etc.).

Conduct regular progress reviews and report project status to senior management.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and engineers.

Address client concerns promptly and professionally.

Ensure adherence to contractual terms and conditions.

Implement and enforce a comprehensive QA/QC program for assigned projects.

Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues.

Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Proactively identify and manage cost risks.

Prepare and manage project budgets.

Promote a strong safety culture on the jobsite.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.

Develop and implement safety plans and procedures.

Briefing, supervising and instructing the construction team as well as vendors/suppliers/subcontractors.

Analysing blueprints to ensure that construction projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications.

Control and monitor site cleanliness & work place comply to applicable local authority regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior project management role within the civil and building construction industry.

Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex construction projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, contracts, and regulations.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., CPM, Agile).

Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.

Proficient in project management software, cost estimating software, and BIM (Building Information Modelling)

Valid driver's license.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, MS Excel & MS Project.

Able to work on Monday to Saturday

Must be willing and able to travel outstation as required.
