Job summary

Zhongshi Chemical Engineering Construction (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Kedah seeks a Project Manager (CSA) to coordinate construction activities, manage schedules and ensure adherence to specifications on site.

You will monitor progress, liaise with clients and consultants, uphold safety, conduct meetings with subcontractors, and guide the project team toward high performance. Immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in construction project management.
• Experience in factory construction projects is a plus.
• Immediate or short-notice availability preferred.

Project Manager (CSA) Post

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications
• Monitor project progress and report on project status to management.
• Liaise with client & consultant on the design and change order matters.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements, prioritising a safe working environment for all involved.
• Conduct regular meetings with subcontractors and client to facilitate communication, address challenges and to meet project objectives
• Carry out thorough project evaluations and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary corrective measures.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Qualification and Years of Experience

• A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• 5 years and above of relevant experience in construction project management
• Experience in factory construction projects will be a strong advantage.
• Able to join immediately or within short notice is preferred.

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes and safety regulations in the Malaysian context.
• Knowledge of local construction regulations, permits and approval processes
• Excellent project management skills, including effective planning, organising and prioritising tasks.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, including project blueprints and construction schematics.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage project teams.
• Proficiency in construction management and project scheduling software.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
