Job summary

Sutera Satu Enterprise Sdn Bhd is seeking a results-driven Senior Project Manager to lead civil/infrastructure projects in Malaysia. You will drive planning, mobilisation, execution and close-out, ensuring delivery to scope, schedule and budget.

You will manage project teams, coordinate with Clients, Consultants, Contractors and Authorities, track progress, mitigate risks and control costs while upholding quality and safety standards. Travel to project sites as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Rail industry experience (MRT/LRT/rail infrastructure) is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor project programmes, schedules, budgets, milestones and key deliverables.
• Lead and manage project teams, ensuring adequate manpower, resources, coordination and effective performance.
• Attend and lead Client meetings, progress meetings and site coordination meetings.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, delays and issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage contractor performance, variations, claims, cost control and commercial matters.
• Prepare and present project progress reports, budget forecasts and recommendations.
• Support other Company projects and undertake additional project-related responsibilities as required.

Job description

Lead and manage assigned projects from planning, mobilisation and execution through completion, handover and close-out. Act as the key project representative in dealing with Clients, Consultants, Contractors, Subcontractors and relevant Authorities.

Key responsibilities

Develop and monitor project programmes, schedules, budgets, milestones and key deliverables

Ensure projects are delivered within the agreed timeline, budget, quality, safety and contractual requirements

Lead and manage project teams, ensuring adequate manpower, resources, coordination and effective performance

Attend and lead Client meetings, progress meetings, technical discussions and site coordination meetings

Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, delays and issues, and implement timely corrective actions

Manage contractor performance, variations, claims, cost control and commercial matters while protecting the Company's interests

Prepare and present project progress reports, budget forecasts and recommendations to Management

Support other Company projects and undertake additional project-related responsibilities as required

About you

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related field

Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience, including experience managing construction or infrastructure projects

Experience in the rail industry (MRT/LRT/rail infrastructure) will be a strong advantage

Strong leadership, project planning, coordination and problem-solving skills

Good understanding of project budgeting, cost control, contractual matters and project delivery

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to deal directly with Clients and Consultants

Able to work independently, take ownership of projects and make sound decisions

Willing to travel and work at project sites when required
