Job summary

Randstad Malaysia seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead complex engineering projects from planning through execution and delivery, coordinating with mechanical, electrical, automation and manufacturing teams, customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders across automation, machinery, equipment manufacturing and related engineering environments.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, excellent communication, and the ability to travel internationally when required to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
• Strong project management experience within automation, machinery, equipment manufacturing, industrial equipment, system integration or a similar engineering environment.
• Good understanding of mechanical engineering and equipment/manufacturing processes.
• Proven experience managing complex engineering projects involving multiple technical stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
• PMP certification is an advantage.
• Candidates without PMP certification should be willing to complete the relevant training and certification upon joining; support will be provided by the employer.
• Comfortable with occasional international travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering projects from initiation through execution, installation and final delivery.
• Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, resources, budgets and deliverables.
• Coordinate closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Manufacturing and other engineering functions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Act as a key point of contact between customers and internal project/engineering teams.
• Monitor project progress and proactively manage potential delays, technical challenges and project risks.
• Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed scope, timeline, quality and customer requirements.
• Facilitate project meetings, progress reviews and stakeholder updates.
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors and external partners where required.
• Support continuous improvement of project management processes and practices.
• Travel internationally when required for customer engagements, project requirements or industry exhibitions.
