Job summary

MVC Resources is seeking an Automation Manager for Penang Hill, Malaysia, to lead design, commissioning, and continuous optimization of high-speed manufacturing equipment and Industry 4.0 systems.

You will manage a team of engineers, drive shop-floor robotics and PLC projects, and work with equipment vendors to elevate operational efficiency. 5+ years of hands-on automation experience and leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years in industrial manufacturing.
• 5+ years hands-on industrial automation experience including leadership of engineering teams (2+ years).
• Experience with PLC/SCADA programming and mechatronics leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end automation projects from vendor selection and concept design through commissioning and shop-floor optimization.
• Manage a team of engineers, drive shop-floor robotics and PLC projects.
• Implement Industry 4.0 systems with IoT data collection and Lean/OEE improvements to boost production efficiency.
