Job summary
Precision Control Sdn. Bhd. in Shah Alam is seeking a proactive Project Engineer to support Process Automation and System Integration projects.
You will act as the technical and operational bridge between clients, engineering teams, site subcontractors, and equipment vendors. The role requires 1–2 years in Industrial Automation or control systems, strong organizational and communication skills in English and Malay, and willingness to travel regionally for FAT/SAT and commissioning.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation & Control, or equivalent.
- Experience: 1–2 years in Industrial Automation, Control Systems (PLC/SCADA/DCS), or System Integration projects; fresh graduates with strong internship experience are welcome.
- Technical baseline: Familiarity with electrical schematics, field instrumentation, panel design, or PLC/SCADA architecture (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens, Ignition).
- Tools: Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and Word for reporting and scheduling.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel to project sites across the region for FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
- Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills in English and Malay; Mandarin is advantageous.

- Coordinate day-to-day activities among clients, internal teams, panel builders, and site subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Request and evaluate technical quotes from vendors, track project expenses, and assist the PM with budget control.
- Maintain project schedules (MS Project), prepare meeting minutes, progress reports, site documentation, and document control.
- Assist in FAT, SAT, site installation checks, and commissioning activities.
- Serve as on-site interface, managing site clearance, safety compliance, and schedule alignment with main contractors.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support the execution of Process Automation and Control System Integration projects. Working directly alongside our Senior Project Managers, you will serve as the technical and operational bridge between clients, engineering teams, site subcontractors, and equipment vendors.
If you have 1–2 years of hands‑on or project exposure in industrial automation, strong organizational skills, and an ambition to grow your career into project management within turnkey engineering projects, this role is for you.
- Project & Site Coordination: Coordinate day‑to‑day activities among clients, internal engineering teams, panel builders, and site subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Cost & Vendor Management: Request and evaluate technical quotes from vendors/suppliers, track project expenses, and assist the PM with budget control.
- Progress & Documentation: Maintain project schedules (MS Project), prepare meeting minutes, progress reports, site documentation, and maintain strict document control.
- Factory & Site Execution: Assist in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), site installation checks, and commissioning activities.
- Client & Subcontractor Interface: Serve as a reliable point of contact on‑site, managing site clearance, safety compliance, and schedule alignment with main contractors.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation & Control, or equivalent.
Experience: 1–2 years of working experience in Industrial Automation, Control Systems (PLC/SCADA/DCS), or System Integration projects and Agile Development. Fresh graduates with strong project internship experience are welcome to apply.
Technical Baseline: Familiarity with electrical schematics, field instrumentation, panel design, or PLC/SCADA architecture (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens, Ignition). Note: This is an engineering coordination role, not a software developer position.
Tools: Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and Word for reporting and scheduling.
Mobility: Willingness to travel to project sites across the region for FAT, SAT, and commissioning phases.
Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills in English and Malay. Fluency in Mandarin is advantageous to liaise with Mandarin‑speaking suppliers and client teams.
Work directly under experienced PMP‑certified leaders in a Top 3 Process Automation System Integrator.
