Job summary

TTY ID & Construction Sdn. Bhd. in Penang seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead construction and interior fit-out projects from planning through completion.

You will ensure safety, quality, on-time delivery and strict cost control while maintaining excellent client relationships. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, fluently speaks English and Bahasa Malaysia, and has at least seven years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin would be an added advantage.
• At least 7 years of relevant working experience.
• Physically fit and agile; able to relocate.
• Willing to be on-call and work weekends/holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and oversee construction and interior fit-out projects from commencement to completion.
• Lead and coordinate project teams, including Site Engineers, Site Supervisors, Quantity Surveyors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, work programmes, and resource planning.
• Ensure projects are completed within budget, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for Management and clients.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure project compliance.
• Identify project risks, resolve site issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Monitor project costs, variation orders (VO), and overall commercial performance in collaboration with the Quantity Surveying team.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Chair project meetings and maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders.
• Ensure timely project handover, defect management, and project close-out documentation.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Skills

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent;

Fluent in English & Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken). Knowledge of Mandarin would be an added advantage;

At least 7 year(s) of relevant working experience;

Physically fit and agile;

Able to work independently with minimum supervision;

Positive attitude, able to multi-task and work in a fast-pace environment;

Demonstrate good team work skills and maintain a strong team spirit with all relevant parties;

Able to relocate;

Willing to be on-call and work on weekends and holidays when required.
