The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and driving the delivery of IT and software projects from planning through implementation and ongoing support. The role acts as a key coordination point between clients, internal teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered effectively within agreed scope, timelines, resources, and quality expectations.
The role requires strong communication, organisation, ownership, problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across different projects and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage IT/software projects from initiation through implementation, deployment, maintenance, and support.
- Manage project scope, schedules, milestones, deliverables, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and Change Requests, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
- Coordinate project activities across requirements, system design, development, testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment, migration, disaster recovery, and production support.
- Act as the key coordination point between clients, Business Analysts, developers, QA, support teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate project meetings, client discussions, workshops, presentations, system demonstrations, and regular project updates.
- Manage client communication and follow-up to ensure requirements, concerns, action items, approvals, and expectations are addressed promptly.
- Support resource planning, allocation, workload monitoring, and verification of project timesheets and overtime, where applicable.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, trackers, Change Requests, requirements, meeting records, user guides, training materials, and other relevant documentation.
- Involve between project assignments, support internal, non-billable, pre-sales, operational, or other Company initiatives and assignments as required by Management.
- Perform other project-related or reasonable duties as assigned by Management based on business and operational requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in IT/software project management, coordination, or delivery.
- Good knowledge of project planning, scheduling, risk and issue management, change management, reporting, testing/UAT, and project delivery methodologies.
- Strong communication, organisational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proactive, accountable, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a dynamic project environment.
- Experience in enterprise, utility, government, billing, or large-scale IT projects and client-facing engagements is preferred.
- Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM, Scrum, or equivalent is an added advantage.
