Job summary

Takaful Malaysia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive cross-functional product development and strategic initiatives. You will build detailed project plans, allocate tasks, and monitor progress to ensure timely, budget-compliant launches.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field, 5+ years of experience, and preferably PMP certification. You will lead a team and report to the Steering Committee to steer decisions and mitigate risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• PMP or equivalent certification is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience in a supervisory or team leadership role is preferred.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business teams to deliver new products and strategic projects within budget and on target launch dates.
• Develop a project plan with deadlines, prioritised tasks, and assignment of deliverables by expertise.
• Oversee project development and ensure team members meet timelines, company standards, and budgets.
• Provide secretarial support for project meetings, including agendas, minutes, and action-item follow-ups.
• Report project progress and issues to Steering Committee/Management and work with the team on solutions.
• Assess budgets, risks and resource allocation, and implement mitigations to control risk.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Administration, Actuarial Science, or related field

Job description

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive the development and implementation of new products and strategic projects, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to budget.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business team to deliver new products & strategic projects and identify critical action required to ensure effective delivery of the target launch date and within budget.
• Develop a project plan, including setting deadlines, prioritising tasks and assigning team members to various deliverables based on their area of expertise.
• Overseeing and monitoring the development of the project and ensuring the team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently based on agreed timelines while upholding the company's standards. Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting the company standards, adhering to budgets and meeting deadlines.
• Provide secretarial support for the project meetings, preparation of the agenda, preparation of meeting minutes and following up on action items with the respective business team.
• Responsible for reporting to the Steering Committee/Management on project progress and issues pertinent to the management of the project. Work closely with the project team to provide solution/proposal from the working team for management decision/direction.
• Assess project budgets, risk and resources allocation for the project. Work closely with the project team to assess the project risk and put in place relevant mitigation actions to control the risk.
