Job summary

Weichai Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an accomplished Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives within the company portfolio. You will translate strategy into actionable plans, manage budgets, timelines and scope, and drive value through effective governance and risk management.

You will guide cross-functional teams, mentor staff, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across the APAC region, ensuring on-time, on-budget outcomes that meet quality and regulatory

Qualifications

• Minimum 7-10 years of project management experience with medium to large-scale projects.
• Experience delivering complex, cross-functional projects; data center or tech sector preferred.
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions.
• Familiarity with APAC operations and structured governance.

The Project Manager is accountable for the successful delivery of assigned projects within the Company’s portfolio. This role provides leadership across project planning, execution, and governance, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while driving measurable business value. The candidate works closely with stakeholders to translate strategy into actionable plans, manage project risks, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution

• Lead end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budget constraints
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, resource allocation, risk management, and change management strategies
• Monitor project progress, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, issues, and dependencies
• Ensure delivery of high-quality outputs that meet business and regulatory requirements

Governance and Reporting

• Maintain adherence to project management standards, governance frameworks, and internal controls
• Provide accurate and timely reporting on project status, risks, and financials to stakeholders and senior management
• Escalate issues appropriately, supporting decision-making and ensuring resolution of critical delivery challenges

Team Leadership and Collaboration

• Lead project teams, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback
• Foster collaboration and accountability across cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives
• Promote adoption of best practices and continuous improvement in project management approaches

Stakeholders Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Communicate project goals, progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly and effectively
• Ensure stakeholder expectations are managed, and project benefits are realized

Financial and Commercial Oversight

• Monitor project budgets, resource utilization, and financial performance
• Support commercial planning, estimating, and contract management as required
• Ensure project delivery aligns with broader business and financial objectives

Job Requirements

Experience Requirement

• Minimum 7-10 years of project management experience, including managing medium to large-scale projects
• Proven track record delivering complex, cross-functional projects, preferably in the data center or technology sector
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making
• Familiarity with APAC region operations is an advantage
• Experience with structured project governance and delivery methodologies

Skill Requirement

• Strong project leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication capabilities
• Proficiency in portfolio/project planning, prioritization, and resource management
• Financial and commercial acumen related to project budgeting, forecasting, and benefits realization

Knowledge Requirement

• Solid understanding of project and program management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
• Knowledge of project governance, risk management, and change management frameworks
• Familiarity with enterprise delivery tools, reporting systems, and performance metrics

Other Requirement

• Formal project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) preferred
