Job summary

WCT Berhad in Johor seeks an experienced Construction Project Leader to coordinate and deliver large-scale building, highway, and infrastructure projects. You will head a team of engineers, supervisors, and coordinators to meet objectives within schedule and budget, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a minimum 15 years in related projects, PMC experience preferred, and a willingness to be based in Johor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management.
• Minimum 15 years experience in Buildings, highway and infrastructure projects.
• Preferably with Project Management Consultant (PMC) experience.
• Willing to be base at Johor.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all construction activities to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
• Lead and manage a team of project engineers, supervisors and coordinators to achieve project objectives.
• Establish, monitor and update the construction programme to ensure the project is completed within the approved schedule and budget.
• Ensure the project is executed in compliance with safety, quality and statutory requirements.
• Oversee and coordinate the performance of subcontractors, suppliers and consultants to ensure timely completion of works and compliance with the required standards.
• Resolve technical issues and implement value engineering initiatives to improve project efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Monitor project progress, resources and costs, and take appropriate corrective actions where necessary.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities and relevant stakeholders on all project-related matters.
• Ensure contractual obligations, project documentation and reporting requirements are properly managed.
• Identify and mitigate project risks to minimise impact on project delivery.
