Job summary

Elevating People Solutions is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead on-site operations for Kulai, Johor projects. Based on site, you will organise activities from mobilisation to handover and coordinate crews, subcontractors and consultants.

You will monitor schedules, budgets and progress while ensuring safety, QA/QC and regulatory compliance locally. You will manage procurement, reporting, risks and final handover processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (Diploma with strong relevant experience may be considered).
• 10+ years construction experience with 3–5 years in site/project management.
• Proven experience on building/industrial/infrastructure projects of defined scale.

Responsibilities

Construction Manager (Kulai, Johor)

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead on-site construction operations for projects in Kulai, Johor.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and oversee all site construction activities from mobilisation to handover
• Manage project schedules, budgets, cost control and progress claims
• Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
• Review drawings, specifications, BOQ and manage variations and design changes
• Ensure compliance with safety (OSHA / CIDB), quality (QA/QC, ITPs) and environmental requirements
• Monitor progress, resolve site issues and manage project risks
• Liaise with clients, consultants and authorities, and attend project meetings
• Prepare progress reports and updates for management
• Manage procurement and material supply to support the programme
• Oversee defect rectification, testing and commissioning, and final handover

Qualifications and Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, or a related field (a Diploma with strong relevant experience may be considered)
• Minimum [10] years of construction experience, including at least [3 to 5] years in a site management or project management role
• Proven experience managing [building / industrial / infrastructure] projects of [project value or scale]
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, scheduling, and cost control
• Good understanding of safety, quality and statutory requirements in Malaysia
• Registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), or CIDB certification, is an advantage
• CIDB Green Card is required
• Proficient in MS Project or Primavera, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Willing to be based on site in Kulai, Johor
