Job summary

EPS Consultants seeks an experienced Project Manager in Malaysia to lead engineering projects from initiation to completion. The role emphasizes delivering on scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating with engineering, QA/QC, and procurement teams.

You will interact with international clients, manage risks, and drive continuous improvement. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project team from initiation to completion.
• Monitor project progress and costing to meet contractual obligations within budget.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, quality standards, and specifications with QA/QC.
• Interact with clients to capture needs and requirements.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure sub-vendors meet schedules.
• Organize and lead project kick-off meetings with stakeholders to align objectives and timelines.
• Provide regular project updates to management.

Job description

• Manage the project team in preparing schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects from initiation to completion.
• Manage project progress, costing to ensure it meets contractual obligation to clients within budget.
• Work with engineering and QA/QC to ensure compliance to applicable codes, practices, quality standard and specifications.
• Interact with the clients to ensure their needs and requirements are taken up positively and objectively.
• Work closely with procurement department to ensure sub-vendor supplies meet the project schedule.
• Organize and lead project kick-off meetings to align project objectives, scope, timeline, responsibilities, & expectations with all stakeholders.
• Provide regular project updates to management.
• Responsible for the project's success (scope, budget, time, quality, delivery).
• To setup appropriate project team structure.
• Continuously project risk evaluation and tracking with respect to the defined.
• To proactively manage deviation, potential concern, escalation, and changes from internal and external parties.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Degree in any related Engineering field.
• At least 10 years working experience in project management, preferably in Oil and Gas Industries.
• Good leadership, organized, meticulous and self-disciplined.
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills and confidence in dealing with clients at international level.
• Able to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
• Exposure in engineering, QC, inspection, or field work will be an added advantage.
• Exposure to process equipment and packages with experience in multi-discipline and equipment such as pump, valve, instrument, skid and E&I scope etc. will be an added advantage.
• Experience in complete project execution cycle from kick off meeting, engineering, documentation, procurement, production and fabrication, FAT and SAT.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Independent and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
