Job summary

Elsa Talent in Malaysia seeks a seasoned Oil & Gas Project Manager to lead major capex projects from initiation through close-out. You will oversee onshore and offshore activities, directing multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring scope, schedule, budget and HSE compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Professional Engineer registration (BEM/IEM), and at least 15 years in oil & gas, including 5 years as a PM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Registered Professional Engineer with BEM/IEM Malaysia (Malaysia).
• Minimum 15 years of practical experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in Oil & Gas projects.
• Experience managing large multi-disciplinary and integrated projects across front-end, procurement, construction and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Oil & Gas projects from initiation to close-out.
• Develop and implement project execution strategies, plans, schedules, budgets and governance processes.
• Provide leadership to multidisciplinary project teams and manage resources.
• Oversee engineering activities and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and integrate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning across the lifecycle.
• Manage sub-contractors, consultants, vendors and other third parties to meet scope, schedule, cost and quality.
• Lead onshore and offshore construction, modification and brownfield projects.
• Monitor performance (cost, schedule, quality, HSE) and implement corrective actions.
• Manage changes, variations, claims, risks and stakeholder interfaces.
• Provide regular project performance updates to management and key stakeholders.

Job description

• Lead and manage Oil & Gas projects from initiation and front-end development through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and close-out.
• Develop and implement project execution strategies, plans, schedules, budgets and governance processes.
• Provide leadership to multidisciplinary project teams and effectively manage project resources.
• Oversee engineering activities and ensure compliance with applicable International Standards, DEP, PTS, Company specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and integrate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities across the project lifecycle.
• Manage sub-contractors, consultants, vendors and other third parties, ensuring compliance with project scope, schedule, cost, quality and contractual requirements.
• Lead the execution of onshore and offshore construction, modification and upgrading/brownfield projects.
• Monitor project performance, including cost, schedule, progress, quality, HSE and risk, and implement corrective actions where required.
• Manage project changes, variations, claims, risks and stakeholder interfaces in accordance with established governance processes.
• Provide regular project performance updates to management and key stakeholders while ensuring successful project delivery within approved scope, schedule, budget, quality and HSE requirements.

Requirements
