Job summary

Meru Group is seeking a Site Coordinator to manage construction activities on site in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves ensuring timely completion according to project specifications, attending meetings with consultants and project managers, and coordinating with the construction team to address progress and issues.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or degree in civil engineering or related field and 1–3 years of experience in construction or project coordination.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of construction/project coordination experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email).
• Ability to prepare reports and progress updates.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage and ensure the timely completion of construction works according to project specifications.
• Adhere to the Master Programme and complete assigned tasks within the scheduled timeline.
• Participate in meetings with Consultants, Project Managers, and the Construction Team to discuss project progress and issues.
• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare accurate progress reports.
• Report site conditions, challenges, and updates to management on a regular basis.
• Control and coordinate the smooth progress of construction activities on site.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure seamless execution of related trades and tasks.
• Identify, implement, and resolve technical issues on site, ensuring compliance with safety methods and procedures.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email).
• Ability to prepare reports, site progress updates, and documentation accurately and on time.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel and work at project sites as required.
