Job summary

Stratus Automation Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee automation projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget for semiconductor and related industries.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and risk-management skills, with a focus on coordinating cross-functional teams, maintaining stakeholder engagement, and providing clear status updates throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ project management experience in automation or equipment manufacturing.
• PMI/CAPM, PMP, or PRINCE2 experience/desirability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage multiple project factors.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of projects, including developing and presenting initial sales/technical proposals.
• Acknowledge customer purchase orders and ensure compliance with the project proposal terms.
• Coordinate project phase gate reviews and kickoff meetings.
• Maintain ongoing communication with customers, providing regular project status updates.
• Conduct regular project team meetings to track progress, issues, and deliverables.
• Coordinate and monitor design and build development, ensuring timely completion.
• Plan and allocate human and material resources for project execution.
• Identify potential problems, analyze causes, and implement solutions with the team.
• Document and distribute minutes, actions, and decisions from customer meetings.
• Generate and distribute standard PM deliverables and dashboards.
• Track contract changes using Change Notifications and revision summaries.
• Conduct project closeout meetings to capture lessons learned and performance highlights.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

What You Will Do:

• Manage all aspects of projects, including developing and presenting initial sales/technical proposals.

• Conduct customer meetings, documenting and distributing minutes, action items, and decisions.
• Generate and distribute standard project management deliverables, including daily status updates, task, action item, issue, risk, and decision logs, resource plans & weekly dashboards.
• Track contract changes using Project Change Notifications and maintain a revision summary.
• Conduct project closeout meetings to capture lessons learned and performance highlights.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

What You Will Bring (Required Qualifications):

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ project management experience in automation or equipment manufacturing.
• Relevant experience in related technical fields is preferred.
• Project management certification (PMI/CAPM, PMP, or PRINCE2) is desirable but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage multiple project factors simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
• Skilled negotiator, capable of aligning all parties toward a unified goal.
• Proficient in project management methodologies, tools, and templates, including project planning, scheduling, scope, and cost management.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and MS Project.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize in a fast-changing, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of the full project life cycle: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring/Controlling, and Closing.
