Job summary

A leading e-commerce company is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the installation and maintenance of Automated Sorting Machines. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience managing projects and production machinery. Responsibilities include liaising with stakeholders, leading maintenance initiatives, and facilitating cooperation across teams. A degree in Engineering is preferred, along with PMP certification. This role is based in Bukit Raja, Klang, Malaysia.

Qualifications

Job Description

• Liaise between vendor and Scommerce stakeholders (e.g. Management and Projects teams).
• Responsible for the end-to-end project management of Automated Machine (ASM) and other Warehouse facilities; including fire, ventilation, electrical.
• Manage installation and commissioning; including quantity/quality check, progress reporting, risk and safety management.
• Manage delays in projects by creating recovery plans.
• Manage project handover with adequate Automated Sorting Machine (ASM) acceptance test and handover of documentation (e.g. drawings, manuals).

After Installation

• Organize the migration plan from manual to Automated Sorting Machine (ASM) into phases and coordinate with the operation team.
• Provide Automated Sorting Machine (ASM) operation SOP and organize operation training for the operation leader.

Machine Maintenance

• Preventive Maintenance: lead preventive maintenance plan, manage tool and spare part inventory and manage technician resources.
• Reactive Maintenance: collaborate with vendor and Regional teams to investigate incidents and maintain records.
• Create SOP and train technicians to maintain, investigate and repair Automated Sorting Machine (ASM).
• Perform continuous improvements to increase overall machine availability, quality and performance.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience overseeing major projects.
• Experience in managing major production machinery maintenance team.
• Experience in e-Commerce sorting / warehousing machinery is a plus.
• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic) or relevant disciplines is preferred. Others with transferable skillsets are welcomed to apply.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
• Strong leadership skills promoting collaboration and teamwork across different departments/stakeholders.
