Job summary

Foong Cheng Construction Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a site-based professional to coordinate and monitor project activities, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality while meeting contractual requirements.

The role involves assisting in procurement, tendering, and contract document preparation, plus liaising with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to resolve issues promptly. Strong knowledge of contract administration and cost control is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the construction field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and project management software.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced project environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, cost management, variation orders, and final account management.
• Familiar with tendering procedures, subcontract management, and commercial evaluation.
• Good understanding of construction contracts, commercial terms, and project delivery processes.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor project activities to ensure works are completed according to project schedule, budget, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

• Liaise with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution and timely resolution of project issues.
• Review and verify Variation Orders (VO), subcontractor claims, progress payments, and final accounts while maintaining proper cost control and budget monitoring.
• Attend site meetings, monitor work progress, prepare project reports, and ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and contract obligations.
• Maintain accurate project and contract documentation, records, correspondence, and reports while supporting contract administration and project close-out activities.
