Job summary

Oriental United Construction Sdn Bhd in Ipoh, Perak, seeks an experienced Project Execution Manager to lead the delivery of complex construction projects. This full-time role oversees all aspects of project implementation, ensuring on-time, on-budget completion and high quality.

The ideal candidate holds a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, with 5–7 years of PM experience, strong planning skills, and proficiency in MS Project or Primavera, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in construction project management or project execution.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes and safety standards in Malaysia.
• Excellent planning and scheduling skills; proficient in MS Project or Primavera.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; understanding of contracts and procurement.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities with multiple stakeholders.
• Willingness to obtain PMP or equivalent certifications is preferred.
• Experience with BIM or digital construction tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

About the role

Oriental United Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Project Execution Manager to join our dynamic team in Ipoh, Perak. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in the successful delivery of our construction projects. As Project Execution Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project implementation, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is fundamental to our operational success and directly impacts our reputation and profitability in the construction industry.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute construction projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules and timelines
• Manage project budgets, monitor costs and control expenditures to ensure projects remain financially viable
• Oversee site operations, supervise construction teams and coordinate with subcontractors to maintain productivity and quality standards
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations and project specifications
• Manage project documentation, including drawings, permits, contracts and correspondence with relevant stakeholders
• Identify and mitigate project risks, develop contingency plans and implement corrective actions when necessary
• Liaise with clients, consultants, architects and government authorities to ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement
• Prepare project reports, progress updates and presentations for senior management and clients
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment on site
• Manage project procurement activities and maintain vendor relationships

What we're looking for

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
• Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in construction project management or project execution
• Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes and safety standards in Malaysia
• Excellent project planning and scheduling skills, with proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes and cost control
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively
• Leadership capabilities with experience supervising and coordinating construction teams
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise effectively and meet tight deadlines
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in challenging situations
• Current or willingness to obtain relevant professional certifications (such as PMP or equivalent construction management qualifications) is preferred
• Experience with building information modelling (BIM) or advanced digital construction tools is advantageous
