Job summary

PERBENA EMAS SDN BHD in Kuching, Sarawak, seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, coordination, supervision, and monitoring of construction activities to ensure safety, on-time delivery, and adherence to project specifications.

The role includes reviewing construction documents, coordinating daily site work, preparing inspections, and providing technical support by interpreting drawings and resolving on-site issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Able to read construction drawings and CAD files; review REVIT BIM models.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring construction activities.
• Review and implement construction documents, including drawings, specifications, method statements, inspection and test plans, and other technical documents.
• Coordinate daily site activities and monitor work progress to ensure compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and approved designs.
• Prepare for site inspections and ensure construction works comply with approved specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in reviewing and confirming material samples, catalogues, shop drawings, and technical submissions, as well as implementing Architect's Instructions, Engineer's Instructions, and other project directives.
• Provide technical support to the project team by interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and resolving site-related engineering issues.
• Assist in the preparation and compilation of technical reports, specifications, design documentation, and other project-related reports.

Job description

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Able to read construction drawings and CAD files, review REVIT BIM models and simple CAD files preparation.

Good communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
