Job summary

BEACON M&E ENGINEERING SERVICES SDN. BHD. is seeking a Project Engineer (Electrical) to lead the design, coordination, and delivery of electrical systems for our M&E construction projects in Genting Permai, Pahang.

This full-time role oversees from inception to completion, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance within budget and schedule. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, with at least 3 years' experience in M&E construction, preferably

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in M&E construction projects, preferably in high-rise residential, commercial, or mixed development projects.
• Able to read and interpret M&E drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit/BIM is a plus.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Planning, coordinating, and managing electrical engineering projects from inception through to completion.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project objectives are clearly defined and communicated.
• Producing detailed electrical design documentation, drawings, and specifications in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Conducting site inspections and surveys to assess project requirements and identify potential challenges.
• Monitoring project progress, timelines, and budgets, providing regular updates to senior management.
• Ensuring compliance with all electrical safety standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Supervising and coordinating with electrical contractors and subcontractors on site.
• Troubleshooting technical issues and implementing solutions to resolve project setbacks.
• Preparing project reports, documentation, and post-project evaluations.
• Maintaining accurate records of project specifications, changes, and commissioning data.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 3 years of working experience in M&E construction projects, preferably in high-rise residential, commercial, or mixed development projects.

Hands-on experience in managing M&E works for high-rise building projects is required.

Able to read and interpret M&E drawings and technical specifications.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD. Knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage.

Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Possess a valid driving licence and willing to travel to project sites.
