Job summary

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Produce detailed electrical design drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to assess requirements.
• Monitor progress, timelines, and budgets; report to Project Manager.
• Assist in tendering, prepare bills of quantities and cost estimates.
• Manage subcontractors and vendors, including evaluations and PO prep.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

Project Engineer - Electrical (Contract)

The Project Engineer assists the Project Manager in any of the areas broadly described below (the specific responsibilities are determined by the Project Manager as he deems appropriate) and any other tasks that the Company shall assign to him from time to time:

Responsibilities:

Planning, coordinating, and managing electrical engineering projects from inception through to completion.

Liaising with Clients, Subcontractors, Consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure project objectives are clearly defined and communicated.

Producing detailed electrical design documentation, drawings, and specifications in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.

Conducting site inspections and surveys to assess project requirements and identify potential challenges.

Monitoring project progress, timelines and budgets, providing regular updates to Project Manager.

Ensuring compliance with all electrical safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Troubleshooting technical issues and implementing the solutions.

Participate in tendering for new projects, including preparation of tender docs (e.g. Bill of Quantities, estimation cost.) and evaluation of tenders from Subcontractors and Vendors.

Manage Subcontractors and Vendors appointment process including evaluations, interviews, LoA or PO preparation.

Carry out other job assignments as and when required by the Project Manager.

Requirement

A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.

Minimum three (3) years of working experience in M&E construction project.

Able to read and interpret M&E drawings and technical specifications.
