West Borneo Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Engineer to lead civil and structural engineering projects in Lubok Antu/Engkelili, Sarawak. You will oversee daily management, prepare plans and budgets, and coordinate with clients and contractors to ensure timely, quality delivery.

The role requires a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and at least 5 years of project engineering experience in construction, with strong communication skills and travel willingness.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our growing team at West Borneo Construction Sdn Bhd. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of our civil and structural engineering projects in Lubok Antu/Engkelili, Sri Aman Division, Sarawak. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing the day-to-day management of assigned construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards

Preparing detailed project plans, schedules and budgets, and tracking progress against these

Liaising with clients, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination

Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues, and implementing corrective actions as needed

Ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations and environmental standards

Providing technical expertise and support to the construction team, including supervising site activities

Preparing and submitting progress reports, cost reports and other project documentation

What we're looking for

A bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the construction industry, preferably in civil or structural engineering projects

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate and deliver complex projects successfully

Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes and regulations

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

A valid driver's license and the willingness to travel to project sites as required
