Job summary

Infinite in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Project Engineer with 2+ years of experience in M&E building services to support the Project Manager in planning, monitoring progress, and preparing payouts and variations.

You will oversee site activities, ensure compliance with drawings and schedules, attend progress, safety, and stakeholder meetings, prepare quotations and drawings, and maintain confidential tender pricing while upholding ISO 9001 requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience in designing and/or supervision of M&E building services.
• Good communication and Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project quality plan, work program and assist PM in monitoring cash flow and claims.
• Provide oversight of resources from start-up to closeout and meet owner expectations.
• Plan, coordinate, supervise and monitor site works and enforce company rules.
• Prepare quantities for variation orders and quotations.
• Ensure installation/servicing/maintenance aligns with drawings and schedules.
• Attend site progress, coordination, safety meetings and inspections.
• Attend progress valuation with client/consultants’ reps.
• Transition day-to-day operations to PMs when field work starts.
• Adhere to quotation and tender management policies.
• Daily task execution and document updates for tender submissions.
• Prepare quotations and proposed drawings per client requirements and SOPs.
• Ensure on-time delivery of tenders/quotations and keep pricing confidential.
• Adhere to AutoCAD drawings as per client requirements.

Job description

• To monitor project quality plan, work program and assist Project Manager in monitoring project cash flow and progressive claim preparation
• Provide oversight in managing all necessary resources throughout the entire project from start-up through closeout and ensure that owner’s expectation is met
• Plan, coordinate, supervise and monitor construction works at site & ensure site personnel following of company rules & regulations
• Prepare quantity for variation order works and quotation
• Ensure our installation, servicing and / or maintenance works are according to drawing contract specification and work schedule
• To attend site progress meeting, coordination meeting, safety meeting and site inspection
• To attend valuation of progress claim with client and / or consultants' representative
• Ensure that the day-to-day operations of projects are transitioned effectively to Project Managers when work commences in the field
• Adhere to quotation and tender management policies and practice in performing
• daily task
• Obtain necessaries and update documents to ensure availability of documents (e.g: pricing & technical data) for tender submission
• Prepare quotations & proposed drawing as per client’s requirements and standard operating procedures
• Responsible for on time delivery of all assigned tenders / quotation
• Keep pricing and other information regarding quotation and tender confidential
• Adhere AUTOCAD drawing as per client requirements

Requirements:

• Candidate must at least process Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years experience in designing and/ or supervision of M&E Building service or relevant fields
• Good communication correspondence skills, Microsoft Office knowledge
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standard is an added advantage
