Job summary

Kelington Technologies Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Engineer - CSA (Civil/Structural/Architectural) to join our engineering team on a contract basis. You will review drawings and specifications, prepare method statements, and coordinate with consultants to ensure design compliance.

The role requires a Civil/Structural background with 3-5 years of experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and willingness to travel across Malaysia for project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related discipline is required.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in building, infrastructures or civil construction projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant construction software is required.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, design standards and regulatory requirements for Malaysia and the region.
• Experience in project delivery across building, infrastructure or industrial sectors would be advantageous.
• Willing to work across Malaysia at project site throughout project duration.

Responsibilities

• Review construction and shop drawings, and project specifications to ensure compliance with design and contractual requirements.
• Prepare and submit method statements, RFIs, and material approval documents for consultant review and approval.
• Coordinate with consultants and superiors to resolve technical discrepancies and clarify design issues.
• Verify subcontractor submissions meet project specifications and standards.
• Ensure subcontractor works comply with QA/QC procedures and safety regulations.
• Maintain and update logs for drawings, RFIs, material approvals, and site instructions for documentation control.
• Assist in testing and commissioning activities, and in the preparation and submission of as-built drawings.
• Contribute to tender technical proposals, including manpower planning, site logistics, construction sequencing and scheduling, machinery allocation, and material specifications.
• Monitor site manpower, resources, and work sequences to achieve targeted progress and productivity.

Key responsibilities

Review construction and shop drawings, as well as project specifications, to ensure compliance with the design and contractual requirements;

Prepare and submit method statements, Request for Information (RFIs), and material approval documents for consultant review and approval;

Coordinate with consultants and superiors to resolve technical discrepancies and clarify design issues;

Verify that all subcontractor technical submissions meet project specifications and standards;

Ensure subcontractor works are executed in compliance with QA/QC procedures and safety regulations;

Maintain and update logs for drawings, RFIs,material approvals, and site instructions for proper documentation control;

Assist in testing and commissioning activities, and in the preparation and submission of as-built drawing;

Requirements
