Southmax Sdn Bhd in JB is seeking a Project Engineer to join the team, focusing on CCTV and traffic-light projects within smart-city initiatives. You will assist planning, coordinate rollout activities, and manage multiple projects from start to finish.

The role requires a Diploma in Electrical/Electronic engineering, strong coordination skills, and hands-on CCTV/fiber optic experience. You will work onsite in Malaysia, collaborating with engineers and clients, and must be prepared to manage

Qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) required.
• Strong project coordination and communication skills.
• Experience with CCTV system configuration and fiber optic installation is an advantage.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Own motorcycle license and ability to ride preferred.

• Possess knowledge and hands-on experience in CCTV configuration and fiber optic systems.
• Coordinate and supervise maintenance works to ensure system performance and reliability.
• Monitor and ensure compliance maintenance.

Job Description :

Assist in the planning and implementation of projects for council initiatives.

Coordinate with team members to ensure the smooth execution of rollout activities.

Manage and oversee tasks for multiple projects.

Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Provide regular progress updates and address any concerns.

Prepare project documentation, including schedules, reports and technical manuals.

Attend meetings with clients and deliver presentations.

Assign and coordinate work with subcontractors, including follow-up on timelines, materials and quality control.

Possess knowledge and hands-on experience in CCTV configuration and fiber optic systems

Coordinate and supervise maintenance works to ensure system performance and reliability.

Monitor and ensure compliance maintenance

Requirements :

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.

Strong project coordination and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Experience in CCTV system configuration and fiber optic installation / support is an advantage.

Proficient in preparing reports, documentation and presentations.

Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Experience in maintenance work and troubleshooting activities.

Knowledge and experience in handling SLA-based projects and support service.

This position requires at least 2 Years of working experience in the related field.

Preferably Non-Executive specialized in Engineering - Electrical or equivalent.

Applicant must have their own MOTORBIKE, valid driver's license, and be able to drive.
