Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Project Manager to oversee and manage ELV / construction projects from planning through to completion. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing site operations, manpower and resources, liaising with clients and contractors, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and according to the required quality and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage and oversee projects from project commencement to completion and handover.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, work programmes and project milestones.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
- Monitor daily site progress and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Manage and coordinate Site Supervisors, Technicians, subcontractors and site manpower.
- Monitor manpower allocation, material requirements, equipment and other project resources.
- Review technical drawings, project specifications and method statements to ensure proper execution of works.
- Identify project issues, delays and potential risks and implement appropriate solutions.
- Attend project meetings and provide regular updates on project progress, issues and requirements.
- Prepare and review project documentation, progress reports, site reports and other project-related documents.
- Coordinate material procurement, delivery schedules and site requirements with the relevant teams.
- Monitor project costs, variation orders (VO), progress claims and other commercial matters.
- Ensure project works comply with safety, quality and client requirements.
- Coordinate testing, inspection, commissioning and handover activities.
- Liaise with clients and relevant parties to resolve technical, site and project-related issues.
- Ensure all project documentation and records are properly maintained and updated.
- Monitor subcontractors' performance and ensure works are completed according to agreed schedules and standards.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the management.
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Candidates with a technical, engineering or construction background are highly encouraged to apply.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in project management, construction, ELV, M&E or a related industry.
- Experience in managing ELV / CCTV / access control / structured cabling / security systems projects will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of technical drawings, project specifications and construction processes.
- Strong project planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and project documentation.
- Able to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage site teams and subcontractors.
- Able to work independently and make decisions when required.
- Willing to travel to project sites when required.
- Possess a valid driving licence is an added advantage.
